1. About FretMotion
FretMotion is an online music theory computation tool for guitar, operated by AD22 FI, a SASU registered in France with a share capital of 1 000 € (RCS Bordeaux 980 055 289) (hereafter "we", "us", or "FretMotion").
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using FretMotion, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Account
- You must provide a valid email address and verify it before accessing paid features.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Service description
FretMotion provides guitar-oriented music theory tools (chord lookup, scale finder, voicing generator, etc.). Results are computed deterministically from music theory rules. We may add, modify, or remove tools at any time.
5. Free tier and subscriptions
- A limited number of free uses are available after signup, without payment.
- Unlimited access requires an active paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.
6. Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account's billing page.
- After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods.
- If you believe a charge is in error, contact us within 14 days at support@fretmotion.com.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use automated scripts to access the service at excessive volume.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute the computation results at scale.
- Interfere with the service's operation or security.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Intellectual property
The FretMotion software, design, and brand are owned by us. Music theory facts are not copyrightable — the specific tool implementations, UI, and computation engine are.
Results you generate (chord diagrams, progressions, etc.) are yours to use freely.
9. Availability and warranty
FretMotion is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice when possible.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Data and privacy
Your personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy. By using FretMotion, you acknowledge that you have read it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or a banner on the site. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bordeaux, France, unless mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence provide otherwise.
